I'd like to add some perspective on how this film hit for someone who was 15 at the time of it's release: To start, I count this among my top 5 favorite films, it resonated with me so deeply I still go back to it in my 30s and it takes me back to how I felt in middle/high school: You've noted the saturation / desaturation throughout the film. --Page 4 of cover.
